CELEBRATING THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM..
The community of St. Cyprian warmly welcomes you and your family! With you, we look forward to the Baptism of your child, an important day for you and for all of us.
It is important because your child will become a part of a long and beautiful tradition, a part of a church that for centuries has helped people live more meaningful and hope-filled lives. It is important, too, because you will be sharing with your child - in a very public way - one of the deepest dimensions of yourself: your faith. And, finally, it is important because through you and your child, God is blessing our community with people who are doing something that says, in essence, that your faith and your church are truly valuable to you.
Needless to say, the community of St. Cyprian is your community. We sincerely hope that you will continue to be one with us, to pray with us, and to grow with us, so that together we may make a difference.
When you arrange for the Baptism of your chld you will be asked for certain information regarding registration and participation in our parish and the eligibility of Godparents (the Church insists that one Godparent is a Baptized and Confirmed Catholic who actively practices the faith).
Baptism at St. Cyprian takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month at 12:30pm. For further information or to register, please contact the rectory at 708-453-4800.
Parents are required to attend one Baptismal Preparation Session, prior to the date of Baptism.
